Since the appalling murder of nearly 150 innocent souls in a Peshawar school, a Taliban propaganda snippet in Urdu has been circulating on social media. In this, their spokesman Khurasani makes the outrageous claim that Taliban did a repeat of Banu Qurayzah against these children as per the Sunnah: killing of children who had attained puberty and justifying the murder of women! It is indeed an insult to one’s faith to even make a linkage between Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the criminal, barbaric conduct of the Taliban. Yet, it is also important to demolish his claim. The Quran declares,…

Today as I was riding the swing with my 5 year old cousin I had a momentary panic attack as i felt her sway sideways and couldn’t relax until I had readjusted her position. I could not imagine letting her fall, scratching her knee or getting a bruise.
